RedHill House
The client sought to achieve a new dwelling that was visually linked with their existing farm yard. Having a particular interest in historic properties the design developed using themes from listed properties within the Borough of County Down. The thatched roof and barley twist fanlight over the front door, and exposed box sliding sashe windows added a sense of heritage obscuring the fact this was a new build. The site was shelving away from the roadside which gave the opportunity to incorporate interesting relationships between floor plates and creating double height volumes.
